Day 12: on again (at last), or rather: properly beginning

Udine was a planned stop, to finish off once more the work on the camper we had not managed in Munich. So it did not really feel like being on the road yet, and it was high time we actually started our adventure.

The morning is another hard-working one; thanks to Maddi's mother's help we get away after lunch. We go to friends in Crespano del Grappa. The camper does not fit through the garden gate, but we find a suitable spot on the street for the night. The children get on very well and we, over pizza and beer, get the chance for deeper conversations: the perfect place to live, the possibilities, the culture of work, and the pros and cons of being close to family.

The camper makes it possible to visit people without your hosts having to make up a guest room for four.
